TCF P&G Pampers Launch

In line with Tabitha Cumi Foundation’s “Help Mama Keep Baby” project which aims to reduce infant mortality and increase immunization rate in Nigeria, Procter and Gamble through its “pampers Rigakafi Program II donated pampers to Tabitha Cumi Foundation to be distributed to Primary Health Centres in the FCT, Niger and Nassarawa states on their immunisation days. This is to serve as an incentive to encourage mothers to take their children for immunisation, thereby promoting child and maternal health care in Nigeria.
Procter and Gamble officially handed over the pampers to Tabitha Cumi Foundation on the 15th of October 2020. Speaking on this initiative, the P&G Senior Director for Africa, Global Government Relations and Public Policy, Dr. Mrs. Temitope Iluyemi stated that Procter and Gamble remains committed to touching and improving the lives of people in the communities where we live and work through the Pampers Rigakafi program, as they intend to advance the quality of life for children and mothers to ensure they are provided with adequate healthcare.
The Executive Director Tabitha Cumi Foundation appreciated Procter and Gamble for the initiative and promised that the organisation would not only distribute the diapers on immunisation days to Primary Health Centres in the FCT, Niger and Nassarawa states, but also sensitise mothers at the health centre on the importance of immunisation , personal hygiene, preventive measures on COVID-19 and create awareness on gender based violence.
