Always Keeping Girls in School (AKGIS)
Procter and Gamble Always Keeping Girls in School (AKGIS) project implemented by Tabitha Cumi Foundation in the FCT and Abeokuta, Ogun State is an opportunity to help more girls to stay in school.
The AKGIS 2021 Agenda project launch was held at the commemorative event of the International Day of the Girl Child 2021 which took place in Abuja and had in attendance; Her Excellency Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, the wife of the Vice President of Nigeria; Her Excellency, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, the First Lady of Ogun state; Her Excellency, Mrs. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu, the First Lady of Kebbi state, the representative of the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba amongst a host of other top dignitaries.

At the event, key stakeholders including selected project participants joined virtually from Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The ED TCF Arc tayo Erinle gave a remark and concluded with an interactive session on the impact of AKGIS on ENGINE II participants.

P&G video of AKGIS programs from other countries and of the ongoing program in FCT and Ogun states were played.
Highlight of the event was the launch of the Peer mentor’s and beneficiary’s manual for Menstrual Hygiene Management and Puberty training by the First ladies and distribution of hygiene kits with P&G products to project participants.
