AKGIS Peer Mentors Training
Always Keeping Girls in School (AKGIS) project, is a project funded by Procter and Gamble and implemented by Tabitha Cumi Foundation with the aim of supporting 1500 marginalized in school adolescent girls with sanitary pads and to educate them on Menstrual Hygiene Management to reduce absentiseem.

Tabitha Cumi foundation hosted a training program for peer mentors on the 3rd of November 2021 at Blue Hills, Kado Abuja. In attendance were two peer mentors (girls) from each of the AKGIS implementing schools in the FCT and their Guidance Counsellors

The peer mentors training was for the purpose of training the selected girls on the Flow Guide (MHM manual) to step down the training to other girls in their respective schools. It was an interesting time of interacting with AKGIS beneficiaries out of the usual school setting.
