Code of Conduct

One of the score cards of ENGINE II an FCDO funded project led by Mercy Corp Nigeria and implemented by Tabitha Cumi Foundation from 2017 – 2020 was the adoption of the Code of Conduct by the Executive Secretary of The National Commission for Mass Literacy: Adult and Non- Formal learners (NMEC), Prof. Abubakar Abba Haladu supported by Association for Literacy Support (NOGAALS) to create safe spaces and protect learners in non-formal learning centres in the 36 States of Nigeria and Abuja.

This code of conduct was recently translated into the three most widely spoken languages in Nigeria: Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba for nationwide dissemination. This has scaled up some of the key outputs of ENGINE II; Enhanced learning experience and expanded protection policies and practices that benefit marginalised adolescent girls’ nationally for sustainable impact. This is another win for the ENGINE II team.
