TCF Flags Off 16 Days Of Activism

Tabitha Cumi Foundation flagged off activities for the 16 Days of Activism 2022 with theme: “UNITE! Activism to end violence against women and girls.”.

Good will messages were delivered by stakeholders and panel sessions which had in engagement GBV multi -sectoral service providers, community leaders ,FLAGS facilitators and project beneficiaries were conducted on the topics of community accountability in addressing GBV, addressing GBV prevention and response mechanisms, and the realities and experiences of adolescent girls in the community reporting gender-based violence on FLAGS were treated respectively this made the event highly participatory as panelists spoke from their wealth of practical experience.

The Unity Wall, memorabilia of this year’s theme and the importance of collaborative efforts to fight GBV was launched by the ED of TCF and pledges to unite in the fight against GBV were signed by stakeholders present.

The event was well attended by TCF trustees, stakeholders from Federal Ministries of Women Affairs and Health, Awyetu SARC Center, FIDA, Medical Women Association, FCT Police Gender Desk, FCT Department for Mass Education, 100 Women Lobby Group/ Change Managers International, Child Protection Network, Community leaders, FLAGS project beneficiaries and TCF team.
