TCF Inception Meeting on GBV Alert for Girl Empowerment (ENGAGE-HER)

Tabitha Cumi Foundation is excited to announce a new project GBV Alert for Girls Empowerment (ENGAGE-HER): A one-year project implemented under the Strengthening Civic Advocacy and Engagement (SCALE) Nigeria, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Palladium which will be implemented under SCALE’s component Five (Sector Strengthening & Advocacy on SGBV & CEFM), across Lagos, Ebonyi and Benue States.
ENGAGE-HER seeks to increase awareness amongst in-school and out of schoolgirls, boys, young women, and men between the ages of 15 to 25 to be better informed on SGBV prevention. The meeting held in Abuja had in attendance Susan Agada, Vulnerable Population Sector Manager USAID Nigeria SCALE , the ED TCF & the project team at Abuja with program officers from Benue, Ebonyi and Lagos States on day 1.
On day 2, the team was joined by key stakeholders from the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, Federal Ministry of Education, Awyetu Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), Foundation for Resilient Empowerment and Development (FRED), National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), FCT Social Development Secretariat, International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Child Protection Network (CPN) and the Vulnerable Population Sector Manager at Strengthening Civic Advocacy and Local Engagement (SCALE).
The objective of the meeting was to unbundle the project to team members from the implementation States and also to review the Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) information manual to capture the implementation states specific context and improve the manual to meet project strategy before printing for use at the safe spaces.
