Menstrual Health & Hygiene Management training for Guidance Counsellors & Peer Mentors on the Always Keeping Girls in School (AKGIS) project funded by Procter & Gamble in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.

Tabitha Cumi Foundation organized a Menstrual Health & Hygiene Management training for Guidance Counsellors & Peer Mentors on the Always Keeping Girls in School (AKGIS) project funded by Procter & Gamble in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.
The purpose of the training was to build the capacity of 3 Guidance Counsellors and 6 peer mentors including girls living with disabilities on MHHM using a girl friendly “Flow Guide” manual that was developed by the TCF team along with other stakeholders.
The sessions were very interactive and engaging as they had practical and demonstrative sessions to make the learning more engaging and interactive for the girls, thereby creating a more conducive learning environment.
The Guidance Counsellors are expected to provide support for the girls by playing a supervisory role during the project implementation while the peer mentors are expected to step down the training to their peers in school during their AKGIS club days.
