With the Grant Assistance For Grassroots Human Security Projects ( GGP) of the Embassy of Japan Tabitha Cumi Foundation has built three schools in three underserved communities in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, producing conducive learning environments for these communities which hitherto had inadequate school facilities and reaching thousands of children especially girls.
In DURUMI 2009,JIKOKO 2011, and MAPA 2015 , the GGP provide 2 fully furnished blocks of 6 classrooms, toilet facilities and borehole for each community and handed over to the FCT Universal Basic Education Board(UBEB).In these communities, many out of school children were supported back to school with special focus on Identifying girls, Educating them and Monitoring them to remain in school till completion through our IEM strategy.
Hundreds of women and adolescent girls who missed the opportunity of an early education in these communities also have their Second Chance education classes in the schools in the evening.
